The video for Rihanna’s new single “S&M” has been pulled from daytime airplay on Britain’s BBC and has reportedly been banned in 11 countries. According to The Daily Mirror, the clip, that shows the singer in latex, tying a man to a bed and sucking on a banana is already subject to an age restriction on YouTube.
In addition its ban in 11 countries, BBC bosses in the U.K. have refused to allow DJs on its flagship station Radio 1 to play the song before 7 p.m. A spokesman told the publication, “We are waiting for an edited version before deciding whether it will be played in the daytime.”
In other Rihanna news, blogs are getting a kick out of the way the superstar responds to haters on Twitter. According to Rhymes with Snitch, one of Rihanna’s followers on Twitter wrote, “#RihannaNavy yall know @rihanna a h*e right? Yeah, she suck Drake d*ck and Eminem d*ck!!! Eww, she’s a big time h*e.” Rihanna’s response to the comment was, “U left out a few.”
Drake And Rihanna To Perform Together At The Grammy’s
Drake and Rihanna are scheduled to perform together for the first time live at the 53rd annual Grammy Awards. The duo will most likely perform their hit “What’s My Name.” Other acts set to take the stage are Eminem, Usher, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire and more. Cee-Lo Green is tea, up with Gwyneth Paltrow to do a special version of his hit “F*ck You.”
Nicki Minaj will make her first appearance at the Grammy’s as a presenter. LL Cool J, Dierks Bentley, Norah Jones, Selena Gomez and Blake Sheldon have all been announced as presenters.
The 53rd annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on February 13th 8pm.
