Lil Wayne has finally announced the release date for his highly anticipated album Tha Carter IV. In an interview with MTV News, Weezy said that the album is finally complete and will drop on May 16th. He said, "Tha Carter IV is done. All they need to do is tell [manager Cortez Bryant] to stop sitting on it. Tez, stop sitting on Tha Carter IV and put the album out." Cortez confirmed the release date at the I AM Music II Tour kickoff in Providence, Rhode Island. Wayne added, "It can come out tomorrow 'cause I'm so finished . . . Tha Carter IV will be dropping May 16. If you're not doing anything, do me." This is the Wayne first release since coming home from jail in November. Nicki Minaj and Drake have recorded verses for the project.
