More details have emerged regarding legendary hip hop singer Nate Dogg‘s funeral — which will be held on Saturday. According to Allhiphop.com, the funeral will be held on Saturday (March 26th) in his hometown of Long Beach, California. A viewing for Nate Dogg will be held on Friday (March 25th) from 10 to 4pm at the New Hope Baptist Church in Long Beach. The public is invited to the viewing.
Nate’s sister Pamela Hale-Burns revealed that Nate will be laid to rest at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal. Pamela said that the service will be open to the public, although there will be tight security at the door and no cameras will be allowed.
Pamela also revealed that Nate’s family is thankful for the thoughts and prayers from his fans. She said, “We appreciate all the words of encouragement and all the thoughts and prayers they have been sending our way. Remember my brother for what he loved – doing his music.”
Nate died on March 15th due to complications from two strokes in 2007 and 2008. He was 41.
