Jill Scott has revealed how she lost 63 pounds. The Grammy-winning soul singer, 39, told UsWeekly that she lost the weight at her own pace. She said, “I’d walk up nine steps and be out of breath!” She added, “But I’ll never be a stick figure.” Before she slimmed down, Jill was 263 pounds.
When asked what stemmed her weight loss, Jill said that giving birth to her son Jett in April 2009 made her want to stay healthy. She said,”There’s a world of discovery in his eyes, and I want to be around to enjoy it!”
- Her healthy lifestyle now consists of three low fat meals and two snacks per day. She also does an hour long session of cardio and strength training three times a week with trainer Scott Parker. She told the site that she has “fun” doing their routine of kickboxing, boxing and her favorite — biking outdoors, which she brings Jett along for.
