Lil Wayne has announced that he is starting his own clothing line. According to XXL Magazine, Wayne said that the clothing line will be entitled Rebirth — after his 2010 album. He told the magazine, “I just figure that I… I’m funky. I got that from my stylist, Marisa. I’m funky, like she say. I wear a whole buncha items at one time, you know what I mean? I be figuring you at least want one of them items. Like, ‘Damn, I’d love to have that safety pin he got on,’ you know what I mean? Anything. I got on these types of shoes, these shorts, this sweater… A year from now, I want all these items to be mine.”

  • He continued, “Rebirth. I want – I just figure people want to be funky like me, so I got my clothing line.”

LIL B SPEAKS ON WORKING WITH LIL WAYNE

Rapper Lil B has opened up about working with Lil Wayne on his Sorry 4 the Wait mixtape. The song is called “Grove St. Party.” Lil B told MTV News that Young Money president Mack Maine made the collaboration happen. He said, “He put us two together, me and Wayne, because he knew I had dumb-a** respect and major love for Wayne. A lot of people say that I’m like him, and I take that as a compliment. It was crazy to see how Wayne embraced me, how he really respect my music [as] an artist.”

  • He continued, “I was nervous, and I don’t even get nervous about nothing, but I was nervous with that boy Wayne in that motherf*cker. It was a good nervous, because it was like, ‘Man, I really made it.’ It was a bunch of people in the studio, but Wayne had it for me and him to get on this song, and it was just a real honor.”
