Lil Wayne has decided to ban alcohol completely from the second leg of his I Am Music Tour — since he is forbidden from drinking due to his three year probation. A rep for the tour told TMZ.com that there is a zero tolerance no alcohol policy backstage. The rep said, that the concerts have “a dry backstage as we are committed to keeping a safe and professional atmosphere to ensure a smoothly running tour.”
The rep continued, “there is no ban on alcohol served at the venues.”
- Wayne is very serious about his sobriety — sources told the site that his personal tour bus is also 100% alcohol free.

Lil Wayne is set to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards next month. While the network has yet to make an official announcement or reveal nominees, Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant told Billboard.com about the performance and that Wayne’s upcoming album, Tha Carter IV will be available on iTunes “immediately after” his VMA performance.
