The time has come for the re-emergence of real R&B. Look no further for an artist to help out at the forefront. Vandy B,  an artist from Philadelphia is looking to be the one. Vandy B.  has the talent, passion, and work ethic that is needed to take R&B back to its glory days.

IAA: What is your music background?
VANDY B: I’ve been singing R&B seriously for about 16 years.  Back in 2001, I joined an R&B group called “Marquee,” and we stayed together for a little less than two years.  One member left, and another stepped in.  We renamed ourselves “Vital,” and stayed together for three years.  After that breakup, I decided to do for myself.  I felt as though I could depend on no one but myself, so if I’m gonna do it, then I will do it myself.  This is my dream, and I plan to fulfill it.

IAA: Why do you want to record and release your own music?
VANDY B: I have always wanted to have my music heard.  Mainly for others to know that they aren’t the only ones who go through certain situations both good and bad.  I feel as though I write beautiful songs that people can relate to.  I believe music is a direct connection to the mind and soul.

IAA: Who is your fan base directed towards?
VANDY B: Towards lovers of quality music, lovers of entertainment and to be honest, everyone.

IAA: Who are your musical influences?
VANDY B: Babyface played a huge part in how I write, as well as R. Kelly.  Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men and basically any hot R&B act from the 80’s.

IAA: How would you describe your music to people ?
VANDY B: I would describe it as being realistic.  The type of music, that whenever you listen to it, you can tie it to a situation in your life.

IAA: What makes you stand out from other artist ?
VANDY B: I believe my sound is different.  Most R&B Artists give you the same format, as far as The I love you’s and The I’m sorry’s.  Often it’s one sided.  Well I believe that I present both sides.  In relationships, both sides ….both male and female can be at fault, so I write for everyone.

IAA: What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working on?
VANDY B: Right now, I am working on my solo album entitled “3:21 AM.” I am also making original beats for up and coming artists.

IAA: What are your music career goals?
VANDY B: To make R&B more relevant.  To bring it back to the glory it once had.  To be recognized as a great singer/songwriter.  Grammy award winner, American Music Award winner, People’s Choice, VMA, you name it.

IAA: How can your fans access your music and contact you?
VANDY B: Easy……www.reverbnation.com/vandyb as well as twitter.com/vandyb81.  I am also on Facebook.  www.facebook.com/vandyb321am
