XANDI:   Orlando,FL

IAA:  What is your music background

XANDI: I was surrounded by hip-hop and R&B due to a family that was full of djs, rappers and dancers. The soul influence came from my grand-parents and attending church with my aunt. The pop influence came from me stepping outside the box and exploring different kinds of music.

IAA:  Why do you want to record and release your own music?

XANDI:   It’s my calling! I like to record a lot.  It helps to relieve pressure in this everyday struggle called life. I want to release my music to the world so they can hear my story and laugh dance, love, and cry with me..

IAA:  What are your songs about

XANDI:   My songs are about my personal life experiences with friends, families, and relationships. My music is about enjoying life and doing what I love.

IAA:  Who is your fan base directed towards

XANDI:   My fan base is directed towards teenagers and young adults.

IAA:  Who are your musical influences?

XANDI:   My musical influences include Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, Chris Brown, T.I. and Whitney Houston.

IAA:  How would you describe your music to people?

XANDI:   My music has a “feel good” vibe that makes you dance, laugh and reminisce.

IAA:  What makes you stand out from other artist?

XANDI:   My colorful dreads and perseverance make me unique.

IAA:  What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working?

XANDI:   My upcoming mix tape drops February 23 2012and a video is coming soon!

IAA:  What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

XANDI:   My goal is to change the music industry by bringing back “real hip-hop”. I want to teach people that it’s okay to express yourself in a positive manner. My number one goal is to finish high school and attend one of the best colleges for music. In ten years I can see myself being happy  with or without money, giving back to my community and touching the hearts of fans.
