IAA:  What is your music background?

MR. MELODRAMATIC:  My father played in a jazz band and my mother sang in a choir

IAA:  Why do you want to record and release your own music?

 MR. MELODRAMATIC: To create my own sound and to make my own mark in the industry.

IAA:  What are your songs about?

MR. MELODRAMATIC: My songs are about my trials and tribulations. No holds barred!

IAA:  Who is your fan base directed towards?

MR. MELODRAMATIC:  My fan base is directed to those that are open minded to a new label doing new music.

IAA:  Who are your musical influences?

MR. MELODRAMATIC:Tupac, Biggie, C-Bo, Twista, N.W. A, U.G.K, S.U.C, and a lot more.

IAA:  How would you describe your music to people?

MR. MELODRAMATIC:  Original. Real life!

IAA:  What makes you stand out from other artists?

MR. MELODRAMATIC: I’m signed to myself and I stopped using pen and pad.

IAA:  What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?

MR. MELODRAMATIC:  Right now I’m working on releasing the first project, “Force 2 Be Reccin Wit” from my label, Plus Profit Productions. It’s a mixtape/album. You have production on there from myself, my brother (A.G.), my nephew (Mike Mula), and my longtime partner (E. Pettigrew). This project is strictly us with no outside help. I’m also working on another mix tape with Dirty South Records from Houston as well as lining up some other projects with Munsta Mafia Ent. Shout out to my partners Emcee Kidd and Knine.

IAA:  What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

MR. MELODRAMATIC:  I’m working on one of my career goals as we speak and that’s to establish my label. Ten years from now I want to be reaping the benefits of my hard labor and watching my little girls (Sade, Jayla, and Jalona Gaines) grow. Rest in peace to my son, Jaylin Adonis Gaines. He is what your hear in my music!
