Aaron Profitt, better known by his stage name “Uno-One” (Underground’s Notorious One-Overcame Nearly Everything), is an American hip-hop artist from Chichester, Pennsylvania. At the age of 13, he began writing in the comfort of his grandparent’s basement as a way to release his inner feelings and he found it to have therapeutic benefits. He first began rapping and recording himself by over dubbing cassette tapes on a karaoke machine.
Since his very first recordings, anyone who has listened to his music knows that he has a special talent full of raw emotions and an articulated rhyme form. As a non-fiction author, he finds the inspiration to write from his surrounding environment and life experiences, coining his genre as “Reality Rap”. After witnessing numerous tragedies, he knows that every verse could be his last so he puts it all on the line every time he steps into the recording booth.
He established One Track Mind EntertainmenT (O.T.M.) with childhood friend/manager, Steve“Lil’ Bunk” Bunk. Courtesy of O.T.M., he has released 5 mixtapes since 2004 and his latest effort, “Mixed Emotionz” was released August 7, 2012. The mix-tape is comprised of fan favorites: “Just Breath”, “All Falls Down”, and “Warning,” which displays his talent to tell cinematic stories, the ability to advocate the youth, and also his lyrical versatility. “All Falls Down” is currently in rotation on college radio stations throughout the region. Uno-One is currently working on his debut EP with a release date TBA.
