IAA: What is your music background?
ANGEL GE: I fell in love with music in 1996. I started out in a rap group with my cousins called SOD. I always loved writing music and joined the choir in 7th grade. In 2007, I did my first big performance at the Dubs car show. Performing has been my passion ever since.
IAA: Why do you want to record records and release your own music?
ANGEL GE: As a child, I experience many trials and tribulations. I was adopted and I expressed my thoughts and feelings through poetry. Today I have an opportunity to share that with the world.
IAA: What are your songs about?
ANGEL GE: My songs are about my struggles growing up. It was difficult growing up without parents. The streets and my grandmother helped me become the man I am today. My songs are a reflection of who Angel Ge is.
IAA: Who is your fan base directed towards?
ANGEL GE: My fan bases ranges from ages 16-40 and includes all races. I am an eclectic artist who can kill any style of music. I rap, sing, and write for all different genres of music Growing up in a multi-racial community helped give me insight on different types of music.
IAA: Who are your musical influences?
ANGEL GE: My Grandmother is my biggest musical influence. When she died I wrote my first song and never quit. She always told me to do what I love and follow my dreams. I am also inspired by Tupac and Kanye West. I know I am very talented and will reach great heights in the music industry.
IAA: How would you describe your music to people?
ANGEL GE: Hip hop started from the streets. Hip hop is a movement and a culture. My music is a story with a beat behind it.
IAA: What makes you stand out from other artists?
ANGEL GE: My passion for music makes me stand out from other artists. I can write r&b , pop, and rap music. I am not limited in my creativity. I am constantly striving and growing.
IAA: What are upcoming projects you are working on?
ANGEL GE: I just dropped my Digi Scale Mixtape on Indy.livemixtapes.com. I have a show with Dj Paul coming up at the end of December. I am also working with new artists and producers. I am also working on creating more music for 2013.
IAA: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
ANGEL GE: In the future I want to see myself as professional song writer/ entertainer. The success of my music will open up different business avenues where I can help guide others to reach the same dreams I have reached.
