He became interested in rapping back in 2002 while attending Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas and first started recording faithfully in the studio of a fellow student.
With the consistent encouragement from various family members, in 2007 Big Fink returned to Chicago to pursue his dream. He, his best friend Derrick, also known as 100 Proof, and PDG, a fellow rapper, worked to start their own label.
In 2012, with his rap career at a standstill, Big Fink began working on a solo mix-tape with a new producer, Sean Pendleton, or Yrhynys.
With Yrhynys’ unique sound and Big Fink’s lyrical genius, the duo was the perfect match and after only seven months of working together, their work began to steadily receive rave reviews all throughout social media outlets.
With his team, Street Technique, behind his back, Big Fink is currently prepping the upcoming release of his mix-tape, “IM ON ONE,” in February.
