Dorian ‘Luchiano’ Tinsley knows how to overcome obstacles all too well. Diagnosed with Tricuspid Artesia of the heart as a child, Luchiano had to undergo four open heart surgeries. As a way to cope with his debilitating illness, Luchiano turned to music. Music proved to be a therapeutic outlet for him. Knowing how well music inspired and motivated him to overcome his illness, Luchiano is ready to share his outlet and allow his music to serve as a testimony to others.
IAA: What is your music background?
Luchiano: I have been rapping for five years and I have released 3 mix-tapes so far.
IAA: Why do you want to record and release your own music?
Luchiano: I like all kinds of music. I enjoy listening to other artists. I know that I am an excellent rapper and I want to share my talents
IAA: What are your songs about?
Luchiano: My music is about partying, street life, my life, and my family.
IAA: Who is your fan base directed towards?
Luchiano: My fan base ranges from 21 to 40 worldwide.
IAA: Who are your musical influences?
Luchiano: I am influenced by Tupac, Nas, and KRS-One.
IAA: How would you describe your music to people?
Luchiano: My music will help you forget about your day to day troubles and will inspire you to keep moving forward.
IAA: What makes you stand out from other artists?
Luchiano: I have my own unique style. I don’t sound like anyone else.
IAA: What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?
Luchiano: I am working on an album, “Blood and Ink.” I am also with on a group album with other artists.
IAA: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Luchiano: I see myself living a comfortable lifestyle. I want to make a classic rap album and go platinum. I want to help my family, handicap children, and different charities.
