IAA: What is your music background?
TONE DEF: I was raised listening to all genres of music. I enjoy anything that is worth listening to.
WHITE NOIZE: I started making music back in 99’. I started out on the rock scene and was in several rap/rock bands up until about 2009. After that, I decided that I wanted to do straight hip/hop. I created White Noize and started working on some solo music. In 2010, I started a project called We Are The Syndicate. Then in 2011, I linked up with a couple of my friends, K-Dogg and T-1-D to do features on some of my solo tracks. We then created 3MC. We later on became MMMF because we added 2 new members, Ronnie B. and Tone Def, and here we are today tearing up the stage.
RONNIE B: I started writing music back in 96’, and I was even suspended from school for writing music and taking it to school. I officially started recording solo music in 2011 with LME, and then in 2012 I hooked up with MMMF. I can write anything from hip-hop to country to rock.
K-DOGG: I’ve been writing music since the mid 80’s. I officially started writing and recording hip hop in 2010 when I formed a hip hop group called We Are The Syndicate with White Noize. The group eventually became 3MC, and later on became MMMF.
T-1-D: I’ve been around music my whole life. My mother wrote poetry when she was younger, and numerous family members sang in the choir.
IAA: What inspired you to pursue music?
TONE DEF: It’s been a passion of mine. I was born to perform, and I’m an artist through and through.
WHITE NOIZE: I have always had a heart for music. My wife even tells me all the time that I was born to do this. It’s so easy for me to come up with a song, and have it written and recorded in no time at all. I always have a story to tell or a message that I want the whole world to hear.
RONNIE B: It’s my art, and I want people to have a chance to enjoy my art.
K-DOGG: I have a passion for music, and I enjoy writing and I want my music to be heard.
T-1-D: I have always used my writing as an outlet and I realize that everyone has similar views or may be going down a path that I’ve walked. So if I can share my story and possibly change the outcome of their life then I’ve done my job. I want to make people feel good and feel at peace listening to my art.
IAA: Who are your musical influences?
TONE DEF: John Anderson, Journey, Kiss, Tesla, Cinderella, Travis Tritt, Tupac, Eminem, No Limit, Devin the Dude, Andre 3000, Juvenile, and DMX 7.
WHITE NOIZE: Growing up, my father was a gospel singer so I always felt inspired to do music. When I first started doing music, I was influenced by rock music so at that time my influences were, P.O.D., Papa Roach and Staind. I went through a spurt where I idolized Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, and Too Short. When I switched from rocking to rapping, my guy T-1-D was actually the one who inspired me.
RONNIE B: Biz Markie, Tupac, Tim Mcgraw, Linkin Park, Nirvana, and The Temptations.
K-DOGG: Young Bleed, Too Short, Warren G., Three Doors Down, Tupac, Fiend, Mystikal, AC/DC, John Anderson, and Rodney Carrington.
T-1-D: I love Eazy E and NWA, Too Short, The Old No Limit, 8 Ball & MJG, Gangsta Pat, Project Pat, Tech Nine, LL Cool J, Will Smith, Digital Underground. I grew up on Motown classics, Chick Willis, Barry White, Salt & Pepper, and Funkadelic& Parlament.
IAA: How would you describe your music to people?
WHITE NOIZE: Our fan base is directed towards 18-35 year olds. We even have a few fans younger and older than that, who really love our music and relate to it.
IAA: What makes you stand out from other artist?
WHITE NOIZE: The name alone makes us stand out from other artists. It stands for Music Makin Motha Shut Yo Mouth. Honestly, our beats are different and our lyrical content isn’t like anything you hear on the radio nowadays.
IAA: What are some upcoming projects, you are currently working on?
RONNIE B: MMMF has about 11 songs completed, but we are working on making a few more tracks that have all 5 of us on them. We have been brainstorming on album names, but we are kind of stuck on “All For One And None Left Behind” as the name.
IAA: What are your career goals?
TONE DEF: Our goal is to reach our fans and make a difference with our music. I would like to see MMMF on top of the world.
IAA: How can your fans access your music and contact you?
K-DOGG: Our fans can contact us via poze productions/poze firstname.lastname@example.org, or on our website at www.reverbnation.com/musicmakinmf, or on facebook, twitter, and sound cloud, just type in MMMF.
