Inspired by struggles, made to survive, example of an over-comer, Emma “IME” Hawthorne was born and raised in Dallas TX. Just like most artists, she grew up singing in the church. Not really having any direction on life, she just went with the flow of things. Singing Gospel songs was all IME knew to sing. She would move the crowd singing songs such as, “God Is”, “Lord Do It”, and “If You Got a Problem Take It To Jesus.” It was amazing, but deep inside she knew that she was called to achieve something bigger than what she could imagine. For IME, a lot of her inspirations come from different gospel artist and choirs, such as Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Vickie Winans, Rev Milton Bronson, John P. Kee and the New Life Community Choir, just to name a few. She is even inspired by some of the new artists today. Listening to groups such as Commission and The Winans have played a major part in her life. IME has been so inspired in her life , that it is now her time to tell the story about the love of Jesus and spread the good news to others. IME has had the opportunity to sing with Kirk Franklin’s God’s Property. Her singing has allowed her to visit Italy in 2010 and 2011 to sing to those that would be blessed by her God-given talents. IME’s voice is loud, strong, and clear, yet so simple. Growing up in a family that enjoys life with love and laughter, and ultimately experiencing hard ship, it’s natural. With this gift that GOD has given IME, it is meant to be heard, and experienced by all that is willing to listen. You will hear sincerity, growth, and maturity so open your minds and your hearts to receive something special and life changing,
