Born in Killeen, Texas, raised in D-Town Denver, Colorado, Mansin has been talented since the age of three. With the motivation from his mom and aunt, Mansin entered talent shows, break dancing as his form of entertainment. He knew that he was destined for stardom from the gates! Mansin began rapping back and forth with his little brother when he was in middle school and memorized lyrics as a hobby. By the 9th grade he realized that his calling in life was to be a rapper. Mansin had a cousin that was the same age as him who rapped as well. The two of them started having rap battles with their friends in high school. Mansin grew up listening to East coast, West coast, and down South music. Two years after Mansin was supposed to graduate from high school, he obtained his G.E.D. and decided to start his own independent record company called “Twissted Records.” Mansin eagerly flooded the streets with his first 4 track single in 2000 which generated a local buzz in Denver, Colorado. Mansin dropped his first solo CD in 2001 and in 2001 Mansin and his cousin released a collaborative CD. In 2004, Mansin released his second solo CD and produced various artists under his record label. In 2004, Mansin traveled to Texas, St. Louis, and Chicago to promote his music. In 2007, Mansin attended the Texas Summer Music Conference in Dallas, Texas to network with other rap artists across the United States. From 2004 to 2008 Mansin dropped four mix-tapes, released 2 group album CDs with two local rappers from Colorado, dropped his 5th solo CD featuring various artists from across the United States, attended and performed at the 2008 Atlantis  Music Conference in Atlanta, Georgia, and featured in “Fushion” magazine and “The UndaStream” magazine.

After returning home from the music conference, Mansin was contacted by Kay G (a former member of the Legendary Cold Crush Brothers) about signing to his independent record label Allmighty Entertainment. Mansin signed a three year deal which yielded no results due to the lack of record label money. Kay G managed to drop one CD with Mansin in 2009 titled “9 Years and Counting.” In 2010, Mansin once again found himself working with another person of interest: Vincent Berry, whom in the 90’s worked with Lord G and Mr. Tan. Vincent Berry was also unsuccessful in helping Mansin due to the lack of funds. Mansin continued to put out music and perform at shows, opening for artists such as Lil Scrappy, Do or Die, Project Pat, and Mr. Serv-on. In June 2012, Mansin released a mix-tape through Coast2CoastMixtapes titled “Memoirs of a Broken Heart” which helped Mansin gain a small buzz. Mansin continues to build his fan base locally and internationally through the internet. Recently, Mansin dropped his second mix-tape through DJ Pop Dukez and Coast2CoastMixtapes.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  What city and state are you from?

MURDER MANSIN: I was born in Killeen, Texas; representing Denver, Colorado.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  What is your music background?

MURDER MANSIN: I’ve been involved in music since I was around eight years old. My mom and my aunt taught myself (being the oldest), my brother, and three of my cousins how to break dance. My aunt then got us in to break dancing competitions where we competed against other groups. She even got us an appearance to battle on the local television station. Ever since then, music has been in my blood. As I got older I learned to become a songwriter, producer, graphic artist, and CEO of my own record company.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  Why do you want to record and release your own music?

MURDER MANSIN: I love recording music, it’s who I am. Having the ability to release my music to my fans is the greatest reward. I’m always creatively progressing with my music, coming up with so many different aspects of reality. When I record my music it’s an adrenaline rush of excitement. At that point, I’m overly anxious to release what I’ve created to the public. I’m just doing what I love to do and that’s record and release music.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  What are your songs about?

MURDER MANSIN: My music is on so many different levels. I have many different songs from the deepest heart-felt love songs to the dark and grimy twisted songs. I do gangsta rap, party songs, uplifting songs, street reality songs, feel good music, sex songs, and inspirational music…basically whatever comes to mind at the time. It can be something on a global level or nationally. I always try to think outside of the box when it comes to my songs.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  Who is your fan base directed towards?

MURDER MANSIN: I would say that my music is directed towards the 18-40 years old audience. It’s this age group that I attract the most with my music. Yet, good music is good music, whatever age a person is. When you hear something, you know it.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  Who are your musical influences?

MURDER MANSIN: My musical influences would be a long list of artists from the early 80’s to now. I’ll tell you which artists I listened to who created my style, so to speak: Brotha Lynch Hung, 2Pac, E-40, and N.W.A.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  How would you describe your music to people?

MURDER MANSIN: Lyrically, I’m considered to have surpassed that of many professional rappers. My rap flows are visually animated vocals, coincided with fast paced dexterous metaphors and unique hardcore analogies and punch-lines. It’s like you’re at the movies musically.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  What makes you stand out from other artists?

MURDER MANSIN: What makes me stand out from other artists is my ability to be versatile on all levels of story-telling. My rap delivery and the projection of my voice, vocally, make me stand out among the elite. Being able to distinguish myself at the top of the list is only obvious when people hear my music. I have the “it” factor which people hear and see through my music and allows me to brand myself as a product through marketing and awareness.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?

MURDER MANSIN: Currently, I’m working on my third mix-tape titled “EAT ME ALIVE.” I also have a project with Snoop Lion, Mac Shawn, and Ice Cube coming out soon.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS:  What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

MURDER MANSIN: My biggest career goal is to become a well-established rap mogul with well over 10 million fans and successfully running my own record label. Once that is achieved, I plan on venturing into real estate and owning a few restaurants. Ten years from now I see myself as very rich, expanding my brand worldwide to everyone putting out good quality music that people love. With my brand and music I am hoping to inspire people to live their dreams and become a star.
