IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?
TRUELY B: My musical background would have to be Hip Hop, R&B , Country and Rap music. I also enjoy producing my own music. I even write my own material.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?
TRUELY B: My songs are about my life struggle, my woman and everything that I encounter during my lifetime.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your favorite song to perform and why?
TRUELY B: I have not performed any songs yet. When I do perform it would be the baddest, dumb-out and one thing I love. Right now I’m just promoting and selling my own music.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What has surprised you the most in the pursuit of a career in music?
TRUELY B: I would have to say that I was real surprised at how the internet has been a real help in my success so far. Examples would have to be Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Reverbnation. Also radio stations have been a real support for my music as well.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?
TRUELY B: My musical influences would have to be Biggie, Tupac, Big Pun, 50cent, Nas and The Lost Boys. I can’t forgot The Lox.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?
TRUELY B: I would describe my music as something that people can relate to. Motivational music and also music that makes you want to dance. Especially if you’ve ever been in love with a woman who has your back 100%, you can call them a ride or die chick.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?
TRUELY B: I’m real, truthful and of course handsome as hell. I also know how to treat people with the utmost respect.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What would you like to see changed in today’s music industry?
TRUELY B: I would love to hear more real music. Songs from artists like Lyfe Jennings, Jahiem, the Lox and even some of the new R&B artists like August Alsina and Chris Brown.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are some upcoming projects that you are currently working on?
TRUELY B: Currently working on Dum/ Out Single and Two Face the album.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
TRUELY B: My goal is to make my label “Get Down Ent.” as big as Def Jam. Also to sign new young artists to it. In the next 10 years, I see myself touring and doing major shows nationwide. I would also love to start my own foundation. It would give me a chance to go back to Queens and give back to all the kids in the community.
