IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?

JUGGY: I’m from St. Louis, Missouri; the hustle city, the “show-me” state where nothing is easy, where it’s eye for eye.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?

JUGGY: Well it starts off with growing up listening to the music my grandmother and mom always had playing, the type of music I will never forget because it left an impact on my soul and it forever lives in me. I believe that’s the reason I like to make music; that the people can feel and have that impact on them as well.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?

JUGGY: My songs are about letting the people know that the things that we live our lives based on aren’t the only things that matter. It’s about time to get real, give people more hope. But I still manage to keep it solid and state facts and everyday experiences.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your favorite song to perform and why?

JUGGY: My favorite song I believe would be this song have called “Whip It” because it has a message in it but at the same time the people in clubs will say “dang this that sh**!” It’ll give off that amperage that people need along with a positive vibe to it.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What has surprised you the most in the pursuit of a career in music?

JUGGY: What surprised me the most is the fact that there’s a lot of scammers and “dream sellers” in this game. People actually sit back on their technology sources and sell dreams to upcoming artists that have no idea. I was one of those artists until I studied more. Another thing is it amazes me how the smallest thing can give you the best information. The smallest clue can make you like “aw that’s a sign for me to do this/ do that”, but not everybody can catch on to those types of things. It takes a unique person and a conscious mind to be able to understand.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?

JUGGY: I would have to say Kanye, Jay Z, Young Jeezy, T.I., Wayne, Boosie and Kevin Gates. Basically artists who are not afraid to be themselves and it gave me the okay to express that with my music.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?

JUGGY: I’d describe my music to people as inspirational, energetic and when you play my music it will feel like I’m talking directly to you, which is always a good thing. The only way you’ll look at it as a bad thing is if you fit the persona that I’m speaking about because I most definitely will state the obvious.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?

JUGGY: My voice, my charisma, I keep it real with whoever I’m conversing with. A lot of artists just do what’s hot, they don’t do what they want. Sometimes people wanna hear related messages but not everyone has foreign cars and Rolexes. I just always remember that it’s more people who want things than people who actually have it.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What would you like to see changed in today’s music industry?

JUGGY: I would love to see more artists get straight to the point, state facts, stop turning the music industry into a fashion show. But not knocking anybody’s hustle though.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are some upcoming projects that you are currently working on?

JUGGY: I’m working on a mixtape that I wanna title Str8 To The Point but still thinking over other titles. The project will be something that the streets need, it’s quality street music. Even the older generations can feel my music and those are the people that will pay to see you. They’ll pay to hear what you have to say as long as they understand you.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

JUGGY: My career goals don’t stop with music. I wanna be a entrepreneur, I wanna be the biggest icon that people have seen since Pac and Biggie. So 10 years from now I see myself being who the youngins look up to and wanna be like.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How can your fans access your music and contact you?

  12. Reading this interview, Prepared is a small word in Juggy’s vocabulary, the word to use is ready. I say this because he has two stories that he’ll like to tell the people that don’t know him. Off hand Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, T.I, Ice Cube, Will Smith, etc., are able to tell that same story because music was never the finish line for them. Just keep in mind outside of music he stated he wants to be a ” Entrepreneur”, anybody with that will power and work ethic deserve a chance at greatness because every dream has its plan A and plan B. #WHIPIT
