IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?

SEBASTIAN ACE CAIRA: I am from Clarksville, Tennessee, which is a growing city with different types of music, people, styles, and lifestyles. I was born in Suceava, Romania in1995 and moved to Clarksville when I was 2. I had a humbling childhood that showed me the good and bad side of life.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background.

SEBASTIAN ACE CAIRA: I loved all types of music growing up. I always loved rock/pop the most. I was interested in the song writing process and song structure from an early age. In middle school I started listening to reggae. I was always fascinated by the melodies sung and the instruments in the beat. In high school, I learned I was an artist when I started free styling in the car with a bunch of friends smoking. Over time I got better at free styling and others encouraged me to take it serious. I recorded my first song in 2010 but didn’t release a song until 2011 with my producer B.A.D. People loved my first song “Talking Too” and I decided to start working a demo to handout. I titled my first Demo “Genesis (The Pretape)” and released it late 2012 on a mixtape site called Indy Livemixtapes. After releasing Genesis The Pre Tape, I put my full focus and heart into music.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?

SEBASTIAN ACE CAIRA: As a kid I bought cds from the store before the internet got keen to cheap or free music. Seeing all the people I looked up to faces on the albums covers made me want to see myself on a cover. When I did Genesis The Pretape it put me into a mind state like “ Now I see how it’s done to make a cd and release it.
