DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: I am from “Tron City” A.K.A Toronto.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: De’Arte’s musical background all started in church choirs, singing in school talent shows, hallways, stairs cases, and showcases around the city. De’Arte first started singing in an R&B group growing up. But do to life situations and having a rough childhood he then decided to leave the group and go solo. Being a self taught singer was his ultimate goal and gradually learning how to write plays, songs and scripts along the way. De’Arte went to the International Acadamy of Design “Toronto Film School” to expand his creativity on film making which was always another dream of his. In film School he met band producer “Willie B” who helped him introduce a new sound called “Tron-City”.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: De’Arte wants to release music to promote the brand, inspire and be heard by the public. I feel that I give people that missing element in today’s music industry.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: De’ Arte’s songs are about real life situations, relationships, tragedy, and triumph. They are about moments that take you on a journey as each piece of music paints a vivid picture telling a story…my story.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: Some of my musical influences are: Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, Tupac, Biggie, Michael Jackson, The Isley Brothers, R. Kelly, and Marvin Gaye.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: I would describe my music as diverse, atmospheric, energetic, futuristic, dark, smooth, and something everyone can relate to.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: I believe what makes me stand out from other artists is the fact that I consider myself to be a triple threat to where my music can take you to different levels, emotions and experiences. I feel that I make people gravitate towards my music in a way that no other artist does. My music is extremely original, energetic, and unique.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in your music career and how did you overcome?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: It all goes back to overcoming whatever situation you might be in. One of the hardest challenges I had to face as an artist was to convince myself that I can compete in the industry on a major scale without the finances and focusing on gathering the resources to help bring my music and artistry to life. Every artist has to understand that you must continuously reinvent and recreate yourself to enhance your character and become to artist you truly vision and want to be.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: I’m currently working on the Tron City: The Arrival EP for release in early 2015 which I intend to make an impact with.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

DE’ARTE OF TRON CITY: My career goals are to work with some of the best and most unique artists in the industry, enhance myself as an artist in every way possible, gain all the experience necessary and to make music that will resonate with people and last a lifetime.

In ten years I see myself reaching my full potential as an artist and being successfully established in the business.

The DeArte has got to be one of the best and most serious artists I have worked with in my producing career it is always a pleasure to have him on board 100% when we drop a new single OTHER MAN was a huge success from the time he heard the beat he knew what was going to be layed out on it from the start… not to mention we also gave the streets of Chattanooga the radio smash played all over the 423 “SUICIDE DOORS” and so to have him on my beats is an honor simply because of his lyrical content and his ability to hit you with constant punchlines and with wordplay like that he is a rising force that will hit the major industry by storm.
