B.N.H is quickly becoming one of the best duo rap groups in West Texas. Consisting of 2 members, Philly and Phenom, who have been rapping together for over 10 yrs, B.N.H was formed in 2011. Philly is a metaphoric genius. With knockout punchlines combined with undeniable wordplay his 16’s are sure to capture anyone’s attention. Phenom is just that,  phenomenal with raw talent! IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?

B.N.H: B.N.H. members Raymond Bryant (Phenom) and Jacovee Phillips (Philly) both grew up in different parts of the U.S. Phenom was born in Washington, North Carolina and Philly was born in Lamesa, Texas . B.N.H. originated and now resides in Midland, TX. Philly and Phenom have been working on music together for 14 years as solo artist but in 2011 came together to form the Best Never Heard.

B.N.H: Phenom has been rapping since the age of 12. Growing up he listened to R&B and Gangsta Rap. He’s opened up shows for such major label artist as T-Pain, Young Dro, Outkast and Jadakiss. Philly started rapping at the age of 21.  He’s opened up for major label artist such as T-Pain, Young Dro, Juvenile and Ying Yang Twins,


IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?

B.N.H: Rapping has been a long time dream for B.N.H. They offer a new perspective to the word R\rap with positive lyrics and immense subject matter while keeping the very edge that makes Hip Hop great. Definitely something the whole world needs to witness.


IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?

B.N.H: B.N.H. writes songs that are relevant to the everyday person. Every song provides a feel that someone can relate to. The songs are catchy, and positive. They write about everything from gangster rap to pop, R&B to party songs, club bangers to Christian rap.


IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who is your fan base directed towards?

B.N.H: B.N.H. has a fan based that’s directed from ages 12 – 40 years. They are looking to reach outside the states and take their music international as well.

B.N.H: Musical influences for B.N.H consist of Rakim, Ghetto Boys, Ludacris, Jay-Z, T.I. Ice Cube and Scarface.


IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?

B.N.H: The music of Best Never Heard can be described as energetic, catchy, fun, explosive, and lyrical.


IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?

B.N.H: The very thing that separates B.N.H from other artist is their subject matter. Their ability to write about relevant topics that people can relate to while keeping the explosive lyrics. They also have an in house producer (Phenom) who can record, master, and mix their music. They write their own rhymes and have their own swag on the records they make.

B.N.H: Both artist are currently working on solo projects, gearing up to shoot more videos and release more singles form the debut B.N.H album , and gathering ideas for B.N.H. 2.

B.N.H: In 10 years the goal for B.N.H is to win 3 Grammys, 3 number 1 albums, and own a successful record label with the ability to sign and manage other up and coming artist.

  5. Those boys are good. I’m a country fan but I listened to a couple of their songs. I wouldn’t buy the album but they are talented.
