Humble, smooth, and charming… These are just a few characteristics that describe the multi-talented musician Xabier Debonair; a true gentleman. Rolando Xabier Agreda Saavedra (born July 02, 1989), better known by the stage name Xabier Debonair – aka Xzistence , is a producer and performer with a unique take of his blend of Rap / R&B, bridging the gap between his smooth, soulful, classy appeal, in combination with his conscientious storytelling raps, and upbeat energy hip-hop. He is quickly emerging as the next upcoming talent from Ontario as the likes of performers such as Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, and Drake.

His high-voltage sensual charge, combined with club grooves and smooth RnB are a recipe for success, as Xzistence is quickly getting some great buzz around his music; especially with a growing female fan base coming. “I want women to feel sexy and empowered whenever they hear my songs. I have a deep connection and relationship with my female fans. They are the source of my inspiration.”

When not busy producing and performing, Xzistence is a musical entrepreneur, leading his own music label/blog: Majestik M*O*O*N. (Making Opportunities OverNight)

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?

XABIER DEBONAIR: I’m happy to say I’m from my favorite city in the world Mississauga, Ontario. A city with beautiful landmarks, such flare that even the buildings have curves like Marilyn Monroe. The city has developed and created a culture for up-and-coming youth to identify with the city’s modern surroundings.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?

XABIER DEBONAIR:My musical background stems from watching my father play in a Spanish band growing up called “Caballo Viejo Y Amigos”. Without noticing, music became an essential part of my life, as I found myself consumed in the engineering and producing of beats. Different genres have always appealed to me. I started finding a way to incorporate and mix hip-hop, rap and Spanish into my songs, creating an artist identity and an image to portray to my fans. With a diverse music background and knowledge in all the aspects of creating music, I’m able to influence the outcome of each song I create, step by step.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?

XABIER DEBONAIR:Each song has its own story to be told through the lyrics. While most songs depict something going in my life personally or the world I’m surrounded by, I’m able to embed those emotions into the final product. I have songs about the roads to success, empowering women, making sweet love, heartbreaks and of course some positive, up-beat music about having a good time and enjoying life.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your favorite song to perform and why?

XABIER DEBONAIR:That depends on the audience I’m catering to. Each crowd is different and I feed off their energy to figure out what the best choice would be.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What has surprised you the most in the pursuit of a career in music?

XABIER DEBONAIR: I’m the most surprised by the opportunities that are out there for young artists, like myself. Through this whole pursuit, I’ve crossed paths with many others who are in the same position as I am. Whereas some people become bitter and competitive, we’ve formed a team that works together and motivates each other to do better and create more music constantly.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?

XABIER DEBONAIR:That’s a hard question, I like too many people from Bob Dylan to Michael Jackson but growing up in the 90’s I obviously looked up to Eminem. He’s the reason I started rapping. But now, after getting a better understanding of the industry, I have a lot of respect for Drake and the Weeknd. Their musical pursuit and the success they’ve reached straight out the same city as me. For my reggaeton inspiration, I find myself looking back at Fito Blanko, Don Omar, and Adventura.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?

XABIER DEBONAIR:  The one thing I’ve always told people is if they want to get to know me, listen to my music. Each song I create represents something about me or something I’m going through, and with that being said, the music changes based on where I am in life when I’m writing. That’s why you’ll notice I touch on a range of topics and genres in my own music.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?

XABIER DEBONAIR: I differentiate myself from other artists by my motivational drive. I’m always thinking of the next step and have a fire to feed. I’m always hungry for more, because I know what opportunities are out there. It’s that hunger and passion you hear in my voice that makes my music memorable.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What would you like to see changed in today’s music industry?

XABIER DEBONAIR:  I’d like to see artists that are already established using their fame and influence in a positive way. There seems to be a loss of appreciation for the English vocabulary, and the majority of songs don’t hold as much meaning as they used to when I was growing up, which is a shame truthfully.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are some upcoming projects that you are currently working on?

XABIER DEBONAIR:  Currently I work with a team of 30 people, who range from artists, producers, songwriters, managers, stylists and public relations specialists, on a label emergence project called M*O*O*N (Making Opportunities Over Night). We’re aiming to release a compilation CD to showcase each artist on the team and other talented artist I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with in the city. I additionally have my solo project in the works and look to have my first album out this year.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

XABIER DEBONAIR:Currently my main focus is reaching the audience within reach here in Ontario. I aspire to be a recognized artist worldwide. I want to find a way to always remain true to my roots, participate in world-renowned music festivals and collaborate with other artists I look up to and wish to bring out as well. In ten years, I can only imagine the reach and impact of my ambitions and hope to have a list of albums to look back on that will push me further and keep my message alive.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How can your fans access your music and contact you?

XABIER DEBONAIR:The best way to access my music would be through the team’s website, www.majestikmoon.com, Facebook which is http://www.facebook.com/majestikmoon, Soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/majestikmoon905, Reverbnation http://www.reverbnation.com/majestikmoon905, or through my personal Twitter account which is, @majestikmoon.
