IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?

FLIPPAARCHIE: I am an artist, music producer, and songwriter from Birmingham, Alabama. I first fell in love with music at the tender age of 2 years old. The first record that I heard was “How Do You Want It” by Tupac. I remember like it was yesterday when this song would come on the radio. My mother would turn up the radio so loud and the bass coming from the stereo would vibrate the whole house.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?

FLIPPAARCHIE: My father was a local DJ and use to break-dance at parties and as far as my mother; she just truly loved to listen to good music. I use to sing in the choir and the male chorus at church when I was younger. Honestly, I can say that the musical genes did not miss me by a long shot and I am eternally grateful for the musical talent that I have today.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?

FLIPPAARCHIE: I feel as if within today’s music industry, you have to sell yourself to the best of your ability. You have to stand out from the rest of the competition by doing the unordinary and setting the tone for a new trend or a new idea amongst the competition for them to see that you are serious about your business and doing what works best for you. If people are willing to buy your product, you have to keep them interested into doing business with you. If companies are willing to invest in your product, you have to keep them interested into investing into your company or brand. That is why I feel that I have what it takes to release my music to the masses.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?

FLIPPAARCHIE: Coming from a producer’s point of view, I make music based on feelings, ideas, or fantasies whichever depends on what I am feeling at that certain point and time. On the artist’s point of view, I make music based on what I have experienced in life, what I want to happen in my life in future tense, and what somebody who I know of and their experiences. But, under the circumstances of their privacy, I never mention who they are only the topic because people can gravitate to the topic and don’t have to know who went through that situation.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who is your fan base directed towards?

FLIPPAARCHIE: My fan base is basically directed towards any crowd of people from 18 years of age and up. As an artist in today’s music industry, you have to keep up with trends and fashion especially within the hip hop community because it’s always evolving everyday with something fresh and new. So that’s why I never limit myself to who can listen to my music. It’s for everybody!

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?

FLIPPAARCHIE: One thing that I can say about my music is that it is universal meaning that it has an open minded approach and people really like this type of approach just based upon the creativity of the artist/producer who is willing to take their craft to the next level.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?

FLIPPAARCHIE: Being an outside of the box thinker is what makes my creativity stand out from the rest and having a universal approach which gives me an advantage unlike the rest of the music that people are use to hearing today.
