Producing for the known unknowns; he’s the man behind the music, Tunez. The 23 year old artist was born in England and spent most of his time in Hawaii. Having an ear for music since he was young, he became more inclined to make his way into the music scene. In 2006, Tunez originally started producing music. Furthermore, he started writing rhymes in 2009.

The young mogul has a distinctive sound when it comes to music. Being that Tunez was raised around the world, his music stems from cultural experiences, relationships and hardships. Tunez is always eager to find any way to improve as an artist. What better way than to write rhymes and spill a mental image over tracks he either produces or can’t leave off of a playlist.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?
TUNEZ: I was born in England. Being a military kid, I’ve spent most of my life moving around. I currently reside in Hawaii, where I love to call “home.”

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?
TUNEZ: Getting a chance to travel around the world has helped me soak in different aspects of cultures. It’s reciprocated through my music.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?
TUNEZ: Music has always been a strong language. It’s able to move and unify cultures in a positive sense. I’d love to carry that on and move the people.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?
TUNEZ: My songs are about being successful in whatever you do. Never give up on yourself. That hard work always pays off!

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?
TUNEZ: My musical influences are Ski Beatz, Nas, AZ, Cool & Dre and Little Brother. That’s my top 5, hands down.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?
TUNEZ: My music is more than you can fit in any image. It’s also cinematic in a sense.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?
TUNEZ: I’m always focused on developing as an artist. As I mature outside of music, I’m able to put that back into what I create.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in your music career , and how did you overcome?
TUNEZ: One of the hardest challenges I’ve faced in my music career would be hearing a lot of “no’s” when it comes to creating your own sound. I stayed confident, kept faith, and used those “no’s” as motivation to push for something new and refreshing.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are some upcoming projects that you are currently working on?
TUNEZ GZ: As far as upcoming projects, I’ll be releasing an instrumental album on my birthday (August 3rd), titled “Art of Living.” The world is in for something special!

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
TUNEZ: Being able to grow consistently. There’s always room for improvement. I want to show others that good faith and good measure can take you anywhere. In10 years, I see myself focusing on my production, as I have been.
