IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?
QUILLY EURO: I am from a very small city in North Carolina called Elizabeth City, born and raised, but I have lived in Raleigh, NC for the last 6 years just trying to chase my dreams and give all North Carolina artists the recognition and notoriety it truly deserves.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?
QUILLY EURO: Growing up, I was exposed to a lot of old school R&B/soul legends such as Al Green, Teddy Pendergrass, and Gap band due to the fact that my mom loved that type of music─ so it grew on me instantly. I did not discover that I loved hip hop until my aunt bought me 2pac legendary album, All Eyes On Me, in the summer of 1996. That was when I realized there were artists speaking on the everyday struggles that I could relate to. So after years of practicing, sleepless nights at the kitchen table writing rhymes, and studying the art from legends like Jay-Z, B.I.G, and Eminem; I decided to begin my career at the age of 16 just doing local talent showcases and traveling city to city battling on street corners just trying earn respect as a true MC. But overall, I honestly listen to all music, Rock N Roll, country, and jazz. When the music is good it is universal.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?
QUILLY EURO: I believe that I can honestly add a totally different element to the music industry other than just boasting about drugs, cars, clothes and women. I just want to restore the realness and the feeling of hope back into the people’s minds and hearts. I want to be the voice of the everyday working class civilian that you will never hear or see. The reason I began doing music was to inspire people of all different races and cultures coming from the same struggles that I had to persevere through. And if you continue to work hard and keep your faith in God, you will overcome any obstacle placed in front of you. My desire to make and release music to the public, and solely just to make feel good quality music from the heart that people can relate to and believe in again.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?
QUILLY EURO: My songs range from many different topics. I have songs that touch on topics from the life of a man or woman working a 9 to 5 job just to survive. Also, I write a lot of songs about all of my brothers that are incarcerated and trapped in the system whether due to drug dealing or the senseless violence that seems to plague my country year after year. I absolutely enjoy writing feel good songs to make people dance and feel happy. Overall, anything that is current in today’s world that would usually go unnoticed and unspoken. I try my best to speak on its existence and bring it to the forefront so that I can keep the people aware that there are artist that still care. I strongly feel like as an artist it is my obligation that we use our voices to say what is real whether we fear the consequences or not. So if I had to describe my music in one word I would just say different.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who is your fan base directed towards?
QUILLY EURO: My fan base is directed towards any male or female that gets up every day and goes out into the world and makes a change for the better. My core fan base does not have a age limit. Anybody can be inspired by great music.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?
QUILLY EURO: Wow!! I have so many musical influences; I don’t even know where to begin. I am a fan of so many genres of music, so first I would say Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z, Eminem, Nas, Lil Wayne, Drake, Snoop Dog, 50 cent, P Diddy, Coldplay, Micheal Jackson, Al Green, Usher, Chris Brown, T.I. , Andre 3000, Justin Timberlake, Lauryn Hill, Blink 182, Adam Levine, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kayne West, Beanie Sigel, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Sam Smith, and Bob Marley. Honestly, my music catalog is so extensive and ranges from so many different artist; I probably have 100 more to go. These are just some artist to name a few, but they all serve as inspirations to my music in some shape or form. Overall, I just love good music whether it comes from the biggest artist in the music industry or the homeless man in the park. It really makes me no
difference at all because I’m still going to listen to it and enjoy it.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?
QUILLY EURO: I would say my music is very motivational and uplifting. It is made to target all demographics. So whether you are 18 or 50 years of age, it will definitely have a lasting impact on you. It may be the catchy beat or the weird sounding hooks or maybe even the deep compelling story telling either way, it’s due to the fact that it is an extremely different sound than what is out now in the industry. So hopefully most listeners will gravitate towards it and show support.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?
QUILLY EURO: The reason I stand out from most other artist is simply because of my originality and my willingness to always want to learn. I am a true student of the game, but I only want to be the best me that I can be, I don’t believe in following trends. I have never been afraid to stand alone and be different. I am very approachable, open minded, and hands on. I am totally against artist acting like they are too good to interact with the people. My passion and desire to deliver good music is probably what really sets me apart from the competition.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?                                                                                                               QUILLY EURO: I recently just released my second solo mixtape titled, BLESSINGS, so I am currently on a 5 state, 25 city promotional tour, which will consist of me stopping to numerous different college campuses, doing radio interviews, and night club appearances on the east coast. Then soon after that I will be working on my solo debut album, so hopefully the momentum from the mixtape tour will carry on and continue to grow my fan base as I travel city to city. So far the tour has been pretty successful.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
QUILLY EURO: Within the next 10 years, I see myself taking better care of my family, traveling the world while embarking on new adventures, and releasing timeless music year in and year out. I also want to become more involved in world peace organizations and help feed the starving people throughout the world. As long as my music leaves a positive impact on the earth and inspires others to chase their dreams, when I am dead and gone I will be satisfied.
