REDD MOODY: I was born in a small city in Florida called Palatka,Florida, but currently stay in Gainesville, Florida which is 23 mins away.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?

REDD MOODY: Music has always been apart of my roots. My grandfather was a musician and my pops use to play the drums in a jazz band before I was born.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?

REDD MOODY: Most of the songs I write are about the good and bad emotions of a street cat. I talk about the feeling street dudes get when they are on a paper chase or meeting a chick for the 1st time and falling deeply in love. I write about topics such as the raw emotional pain from being betrayed by a close friend who slept with the chick you loved just to get inside info on where you keep your money. I like to put my fans in the mind of a street dude through different songs.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your favorite song to perform and why?

REDD MOODY: One of my favorite songs to perform is called “KonKreet” and “G-code” because it just the way those songs make me feel when I’m on stage. I was going through a lot when I recorded those songs. Those tracks make me feel like I’m in a boxing match with my opponents(those who doubted me) and wished bad on me at my lowest point. I feel like it’s a theme song in a movie on the part I come out on top right when it looks like all hope is lost.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What has surprised you the most in the pursuit of a career in music?

REDD MOODY: The main thing that surprised me about pursuing my music career is how much more business than talent you must have right to be taken serious. It truly is a eye opener!

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?

REDD MOODY: My influences in music coming up were the artist who owned their own label, artist like Master P, Birdman, 50cent, P.Diddy, and Dr.Dre. I use to sit and wonder like, “how did they do it?” I’ve always studied the bosses.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?

REDD MOODY: My music has an aggressive flow, raw emotions, very bold, uncut and street, but in Florida most people call it Soulja Musik. Every soulja got a story to tell!

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?

REDD MOODY: In my opinion I feel what sets me apart from other artist is how I can stimulate a person’s brain and so quickly give them chills when they hear my music. I can snatch a person attention whether its some deep dark heart piercing words or the way I distinctively say it. You can kind of give my music a Jeezy, Lil Boosie feel or Yo Gotti with a Kevin Gates drive behind it.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What would you like to see changed in today’s music industry?

REDD MOODY: I would like to see the music industry respect us indie artist for our talent and not a budget. A mentor told me once that record labels use to sign artist for their talent, he said there isn’t artist development anymore.

REDD MOODY: I have a few upcoming projects this year. My new mixtape “Respect My Mind.” My single G-code is on iTunes and on airitoutradio.net in heavy rotation!

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

REDD MOODY: My goals for 2016 are to get major sponsors and to get signed to a major label. I want to learn the business to become a successful recording artist that’s recouped and in good light. In 10 years I see myself as a marketing genius/ceo like 50cent of my own label or a top A-list superstar signed to a major recording label, either one.
