IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?
CHUCK BLAZE: I born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and raise in Hopkins, Minnesota.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?
CHUCK BLAZE: I didn’t have a lot of people in my family that played in a band or recorded music to my knowledge, but I did I have friends that did music. My mom’s friend husband had a R&B group that I always watched perform on the block. Their son rapped along with their cousins so I was around it, but not so into it. My older cousin on my mom side wrote my first rap to Dem Franchise Boy “White Tee” beat. I rapped that sixteen bars for about a year till I actually started writing my own music. After I moved to Hopkins, I recorded my first song. I was into acting on camera by the ninth grade. Drama class was my favorite class. Theater plays is where I really got to express myself the most. I wanted to start writing music when I first got Kanye West’s College Drop Out. That album helped me figure out what to write about and how to approach topics. Tupac’s story telling lyrics help me build a subject matter and content in my music. I knew I had to pick a way to express myself and music fell into my arms.

CHUCK BLAZE: I’m such a happy soul and free-spirited person that people see pass my pain and emotion.
