The show must go on. Beyoncé fought through lightning and rain during the Raleigh, North Carolina stop of her “Formation World Tour” on Tuesday (May 3), but it wasn’t flawless.
Queen Bey’s open-air concert at Carter-Finley Stadium was stopped midway due to inclement weather. Fans evacuated the venue and went to nearby PNC Arena for shelter.
Approximately 40 minutes later, after a break in the downpour, fans returned to watch ‘Yoncé finish her set (as per WNCN).
“This rain ain’t stop this show,” she said. “Ain’t nothing stopping my love for y’all. Thank you guys so much.”
Traffic was also an issue at the event. According to WNCN, some fans were stuck in traffic for hours before making it to the show.
Despite the hiccups, this show went on, but the same can’t be said for Nashville. That tour date, previously slated for May 5, was canceled last month and is set to be rescheduled. The next stop on the stadium trek is a homecoming on May 7, as Queen Bee lands at Houston’s NRG Stadium.
