MINDFRAME is a talented artist with a specific view on life, his own unique sound of Hip-hop, Soul, and R&B fused, and a talented southern-artist who is well-skilled in punch-lines and metaphors. Born and raised in the streets of Memphis, he always strives for greatness and did not mind being different or unique. Music was his only gateway to begin expressing himself and also helping him to escape his earthly troubles.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What city and state are you from?
MINDFRAME: I am from the great city of Memphis, TN, born and raised.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What is your music background?
MINDFRAME: I grew up in the 90’s so my music background is a compilation of southern Hip-Hop, R&B and Soul. These genres have affected me in a great way throughout my life. I started writing poetry at first and then began freestyling and rapping in middle school and ever since then I knew that hip-hop was for me.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?
MINDFRAME: I want to release and record my own music because I view it as more than a job or hobby. My music is my passion, my life, and most importantly my brand! It is a part of me and me in general. So I release my own out of freedom and a small amount of limitations.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your songs about?
MINDFRAME: My songs are basically about my real life experiences and thoughts and is even filled with the thoughts and experiences of others so people can relate and feel familiar with my music. I like to have a message in each song so people can take something positive and apply it to their life as well.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who is your fan base directed towards?
MINDFRAME: My fan base is directed to men and women from the age of 18-40. And the area would be more southern states but have huge possibilities to be played in other areas such as the West Coast and Northern States as well.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Who are your musical influences?
MINDFRAME: My musical influences vary but compliment my style. My influences are Playa Fly, Kanye West, Big K.r.i.t., Sam Cooke, Three6 Mafia, Notorious B.I.G., Geto Boys, and Big Sean just to name a few!
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: How would you describe your music to people?
MINDFRAME: I would describe my music as unique, authentic, different yet relatable, and just real! My music possess a great amount of substance and lyrical content but you can still ride and have fun with it. I try to always deliver a message of positivity and it is ear friendly to a broad audience.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?
MINDFRAME: What makes me stand out from other artist is my fearlessness. I’m a rebel and my own trendsetter. I’m my own brand and set my own standards. I’m perfectly fine with being different and not making regurgitated music or sounding like everyone else. I also do not write or rap about a life I do not live or things I have not done nor seen. I’m able to be me and still male great music to top it all off!
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are some upcoming projects you are currently working on?
MINDFRAME: I am currently working on some new singles, collaborations, and visuals for them. I am preparing to compile another mixtape and ultimately a small EP. I am also currently shooting a miniseries documentary of webisodes of my journey to success on my music career journey.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
MINDFRAME: My career goal is to be well established and respected independent artist in the business. Then to eventually start my own label to give other artist an opportunity and platform to shine as well. I would also like to venture into different business endeavors such as movies, writing, and co-producing. But most importantly be in a set situation to where I am able to give back.
