Wale is rapping in the rain. Just a day after unleashing “Folarin Like,” the DMV spitter hits the pavement in the black-and-white video.
The brooding clip opens with Folarin drinking from a bottle and quickly spitting out its contents. While walking in the dark, he rhymes about everything from industry phonies to his five-month-old daughter, whose photo appears on his iPhone screen.
Despite the rain, the MMG rapper has no time for umbrellas. Instead, he keeps on drinking, smoking, walking, and spittin’ rhymes over DJ Premier’s classic “Nas Is Like” instrumental.
“Folarin Like” follows “Groundhog Day,” a direct response to J. Cole’s thinly-veiled “False Prophets.” Both cuts precede the forthcoming S.H.I.N.E. LP, which currently has no release date.
