MEDY LEMA: My musical background has varied from my family playing different kinds of music (such as Congolese music including the rumba, gospel and even African Jazz, New Jack Swing) to friends who introduced me to Rock, Metal, Reggae, Cheesy Pop, etc. Also being mesmerized by MTV back in the day when it used to be a music channel alone.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Why do you want to record and release your own music?
MEDY LEMA: I want to record and release my own music because, there are a lot of things I’d like to get off my chest through music and I want people to feel them as they listen. Plus, I enjoy people listening to my music as long as I’m not there with them of course.

IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What makes you stand out from other artists?
MEDY LEMA: What makes me stand out from other artists (especially artists today) is the fact that I bring chances or risks and work hard at it, both musically and artistically. I learn how to be a gimmick in a classy way without being fake and tend to show initiative when necessary which gives me a little bit of an edge to my style. I wear what I wanna wear and don’t let anybody stop me from wearing it. I do as I say because that’s how I am.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: Tell us about one of the hardest challenges you had to face in your music career and how did you overcome?
MEDY LEMA: I’ve had to face many challenges in my career so far but one of the hardest was the business sides of everything. My hardest of all is to find the right team to help me in terms of budgeting, sales and maintaining a fan-base. Not yet overcame but I do know that’s the area where I need to improve in terms of getting to where I want to be. Find the right manager who’s gonna be there by my side to help me clear the way.

MEDY LEMA: I am working on an EP called ‘SYNESTHESIA’ which was named by one of my supporters after a small competition I viewed on social media. It will contain 5 songs which one is already out called ‘Fantasy’. I am also planning on releasing music videos for 3 of the songs of which one is already out on VEVO. I’m working on an EPK for SYNESTHESIA and daring myself to start touring to promote this project, although I’m never really comfortable singing my own songs live, I learning to get used to that.
IAA INDUSTRY NEWS: What are your career goals? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
MEDY LEMA: My career goals are to sell stadiums and arenas worldwide, have the best-selling album of the year, win lots of awards such as Grammys, VMAs, etc. I also one day would love to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, perform at Superbowl halftime and be interviewed by the most prestige talk-show hosts.
