A rock that was used as a doorstop for the past 30 years turns out to be a meteorite valued at $100K
A family in Michigan just found out a 22 pound rock that they was using for a doorstop is a meteorite. After purchasing a farm in 1988 the family inquired about the rock and was told by the previous owner the rock crash landed sometime in the 1930’s. The father went on to get testing done on the rock and discovered that it is a meteorite and it’s worth $100K. I guess his curiosity paid off.
