William Scott aka Ducy Bandz, was born on the south side of Chicago Illinois, Ducy Bandz was introduced to music as a child often listening to blues played by my grandmother, soulful r&b played by his mom, and southern rap music played by his dad, and at that time music was just music. At the age of about 5 my mom moved us out of Chicago to the north side of Pine Bluff Arkansas, in a neighborhood called the Backwoods, which is where I grew up at so I rep da Bluff like I do Chicago. I started rhyming at a young age following after older brother who influenced me by teaching me a rap that I use to perform in my school talent shows. At the age of 12, I wrote and recorded my 1st studio track titled “Da Rawest” one summer I stayed in Chicago with my older brother. After that I was pretty much jus rhyming along side a few of da guys in my hood da Backwoods. (With- Red Lee, J Thurm, Big O, B.u.g, Trey O), I made my 1st 2 mixtapes in da hood. Growing up down south had a huge influence on my music, listening to artist like Bone Thugs N Harmony, Master P & No Limit, Any body from Texas, & Lil Boosie, but my most influential pull toward music was my oldest brother. Had it not been for him I probably wouldn’t be making music.
As an artist I believe my music is not only jus rap, trap, real, or jus hip-hop, I like to consider my music “Feel Music”, mood music, like most artist I make music not only for myself but for the people too. What I have to offer da industry compared to da next artist is my delivery, and my approach to the music, words in a songs can consist of the same content but depending on how its delivered is what sets the artist aside from the rest.
One of my biggest achievement’s so far would b meeting my good friend Max Guillotine, thru Max I’ve gotten as far as I have, thru max I met Mack Mecca, thru Mecca I was introduced to Bo Deal who took me under his wing, gave me a stage n allowed me to rock it, I’ll forever rep Killa Klan dates family same as Lavish Life Royalties (cousins King Musa & J Da Prince) family. I’ve made tons of music and I’ve dabbed in just about sum of every genre u can, as an artist it’s what u do. I’ve only put out 4 projects on Datpiff.com and have a single “Get It In” out on major streaming platforms. I’ve also been featured on a few random dj mix tapes and was featured on 2 projects with Bo Deal and my Klan family. Currently i am still working toward an EP. Until then I’ve mainly been making singles. An EP will b coming soon though! SEE VIDEO BELOW!
