Vin Diesel is getting people hyped for Fast and Furious 9 by sharing a picture of himself with the film’s director and writers. The Fast and Furious franchise started in 2001 with Rob Cohen’s The Fast and the Furious, and 18 years later, the series is still going strong. Fast and Furious 9 will be a follow-up to the 2017 film The Fate of the Furious, before the franchise ends with Fast and Furious 10.
Given the fact that Fast and Furious 9 was pushed back to 2020, there isn’t a whole lot known about the sequel at this point. While Justin Lin is returning to direct, there is essentially nothing known about the plot of the film. That being said, there have been some casting announcements. Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson will return to the characters of Letty and Roman, and Jordana Brewster will also reprise her role of Mia Toretto. John Cena was also added to the cast at the end of last month in an undisclosed role. Diesel will also of course return for the sequel, but for now, the actor is just starting to promote the film on social media.
